OTC Sweden is run by dedicated and experienced orthopaedic trauma surgeons.

Our purpose is to manage, support and promote the development of osteosynthesis and trauma treatment through education and knowledge sharing. We arrange events as symposia, small class forums, congresses, surgical skill workshops. As part of the OTC Foundation, our members can also participate in the international educational program of OTCF.

We strive to be an active part of the orthopaedic trauma community and invite anyone interested in osteosynthesis and trauma care to join our organization.

OTC Sweden was founded as a non-profit organization in 2011, by Michael Ullman, Gunnar Sandersjöö, Wilhelmina Ekström and Peter Ström, and as a registered as non-profit association (ideell förening) in 2012. It is regulated by Swedish law and registered at Bolagsverket in Sweden. As an independent organization, OTC Sweden is a chapter within the OTC Foundation (OTCF), an international non-profit foundation situated in Zuchwil, Switzerland. OTCF acts as a global network of some 20 local OTC chapters.

In collaboration with the Danish and Norwegian chapters, OTC Sweden is also part of OTC Nordic, a cooperative of the Scandinavian OTC chapters.
